Welcome to Terra Sol,
builders of structural Rammed Earth walls in the sea to sky corridor.
We are committed to providing durable, energy efficient and above all, beautiful earth walls as an alternative to conventional building techniques. Terra Sol will subcontract the building of earth walls for your home, landscape or commercial building, as well as guide you through the design and planning stages to ensure that your Rammed Earth walls are built as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible.
Terra Sol has been involved in Rammed Earth projects from Montreal, Quebec to BC's Okanagan and the Gulf Islands. At Terra Sol our aim is to provide a healthy and sustainable alternative to current building practices using modern techniques and a professional approach.
Alongside many benefits such as being sound and fire proof, earth buildings are aesthetically and ecologically pleasing , and provide a pleasant living environment that blends well into the surrounding landscape.
Highly energy efficient and functioning as thermal mass, the walls act as temperature moderators and with solar exposure, will provide passive solar heat, reducing energy use in the home. The longevity of Rammed Earth walls is an ecological advantage by reducing the need for rebuilding, as well as requiring none of the maintenance time and costs associated with conventional building materials. Buildings of Rammed Earth are also known for their superior indoor air quality, due to the lack of building toxins that are used with conventional building materials as well as the absence of molds and rot associated with buildings of wood.
